Curbside Vintage is a passion project for Amanda and her partner Frank, who share the same values in sustainability and are dedicated to keeping clothing out of landfills. Inspired by Amanda's childhood in Fargo-Moorhead, where discarded items are placed on curbs every spring, their business name reflects a tradition her family upheld. They would spend hours collecting furniture, toys, and other treasures. Today, Frank and Amanda continue this practice, sourcing and restoring these items each spring to decorate their home, all while keeping them out of the landfill. They spend time together sourcing materials and restoring discarded garments with care. Frank handles the deep cleaning, while Amanda takes on any sewing repairs, ensuring each piece is ready to be worn and loved again.
